  • HOW DO I MEASURE MY SIZE?
Take a measuring tape and with your bra on, make two measurements. The first measurement is taken under your bust. Ensure the tape is even and snug around your body. Note the measurement in inches, rounding it off to the nearest number, e.g., 34.5 inches becomes 35 inches or 32.3 inches becomes 32 inches. If this number is odd, round up, e.g., 35” is rounded to 36”. You will use this measurement as your band size, as in 36C where the band is 36 inches. The 'C' represents the cup size, which comes from the second measurement step. Secondly, measure over the fullest part of your bust and note this measurement in inches. Subtract the first measurement from the second. For example, if you got 39 inches as the second measurement, this gives a difference of 3 inches, which means your cup size is a C.
  • HOW TO WASH LINGERIE
We highly recommend that you hand wash your bras using a gentle detergent and allow them to air dry. Alternatively, you can machine wash them in a lingerie mesh bag on the delicate or hand wash cycle with cold water.

Changes have now occurred for ladies who have had a breast cancer diagnosis. These allowances apply only to women following cancer-related treatment, irrespective of medical card status. These Standardised Allowances are annual, and the date of receipt of an application will determine the date on which a further application can be made. Please note that the prescription provided to support the application must clearly indicate that the person is in receipt of or post cancer-related treatment. The new annual allowance is €400 for post-surgery bras and breast prostheses, which increases to €650 if the lady has had a double mastectomy. The swimwear allowance is up to €150, while wigs/hair pieces are now €770.

  • HOW DO I KNOW WHEN I NEED TO REPLACE MY BRA?
There are several indicators that it might be time to replace your bra: Lack of adequate lift: Your bra should ensure your breasts are supported and lifted. You can assess this by checking your side profile in a mirror—the fullest part of your breast should align halfway between your elbow and shoulder. Signs of wear: It's likely time to shop for a new bra if you notice any of the following: a. Your bra shifts or moves during wear. b. You feel your breast tissue resting lower towards your stomach or rib cage. c. The cups start to create gaps at the neckline over time.
  • HOW OFTEN SHOULD I BE FITTED FOR MY BRA?
It's recommended to get fitted for a bra annually. Additionally, you should consider a fitting if you experience a weight fluctuation of about seven pounds or undergo significant life changes, such as having a baby or going through menopause. These changes can affect your bra size and the support you need.
  • WHAT HOOK SHOULD I WEAR MY BRA ON?
When you are shopping for a bra, you should hook it in the middle. This gives you the flexibility to loosen or tighten it as your body fluctuates.
  • SHOULD UNDERWIRE BRAS BE UNCOMFORTABLE?
No, underwire bras should not be uncomfortable. If you're wearing the correct size and style for your body, you shouldn't really notice the underwire. If the underwire is causing discomfort, it's a good indicator that it's time for a bra fitting to ensure you're wearing the right size.
