We would like to extend our thanks to CRLAB Limerick and Color Couture Hair for hosting such an informative and insightful webinar on breast cancer survivorship.

As specialists working closely with women in our fitting room every day, we regularly hear about the challenges that can arise following a breast cancer diagnosis and treatment. While every individual’s experience is unique, there are often common themes that emerge throughout the cancer journey.

Many women tell us about the physical and emotional changes they face, including menopausal symptoms, hair loss or changes in hair texture, joint pain, fatigue, altered body image, and a loss of confidence. These challenges can have a significant impact on daily life, relationships, and overall wellbeing.

One topic highlighted during the webinar was survivorship—the stage that begins once active treatment has ended. While reaching the end of treatment is an important milestone, it can also bring new challenges. The regular appointments and contact with healthcare professionals become less frequent, and many women find themselves navigating a new normal without the same level of support they previously received.

This is why educational webinars, support hubs, and specialist services are so valuable. They provide reliable information, practical guidance, and a sense of community for those affected by breast cancer. They also help service providers like ourselves stay informed, ensuring we can better support our clients and connect them with appropriate resources whenever questions or concerns arise.

At our clinic, we are privileged to meet women at different stages of their cancer journey. We understand that the impact of breast cancer extends far beyond treatment itself, and we remain committed to providing a supportive, understanding, and compassionate environment for every woman who walks through our doors.

Knowledge, connection, and support play a vital role in recovery and wellbeing. We are grateful for opportunities like this webinar that continue to educate, empower, and strengthen the network of support available to women living with and beyond breast cancer.

Together, we can help ensure that no woman feels she is facing survivorship alone.
